Vigilus – Handmade Bipedal Sentry Automaton Sculpture, Cyber-Organic Salvaged Metal Robot Art
Built for long-duration reconnaissance and perimeter watch, this slender bipedal unit stands poised for observation. Its signature antenna serves as a long-range sensor array, while flexible corrugated hoses route internal fluid and signal pathways across its streamlined torso. Minimal, articulated limbs grant quiet, deliberate movement.
Every component is repurposed vintage hardware: carburetor fragments, steel tubing, brass fittings, bolts and salvaged machine parts. Fully hand-welded, shaped and assembled, with a raw brushed metal finish that preserves the worn industrial character of each scrap piece.
It rests firmly on a solid forged steel base. This is a one-of-a-kind found-object sculpture, crafted for collectors of biopunk, speculative machinery and steampunk sentinel art.
