Aero Aero Manta - Biomechanical Metal Sculpture, Hand-Welded Steampunk Sea Creature, Recycled Engine Parts Specimen Art
Meet the Aero Manta, a majestic biomechanical sea creature from our engine-specimen collection.
This sculpture is entirely hand-welded and assembled from salvaged automotive and motorbike hardware: oil filter, exhaust pipes, suspension coil springs, carburetor, gears, bearings, and forged steel sheet shaped into its sweeping fin.
Its broad dorsal fin rises high above the body, paired with curved exhaust outlets and intricate, articulated appendages below. Every joint, spring and gear is exposed, revealing the raw mechanical anatomy of this speculative deep-sea organism. Mounted on a slender polished steel display stand, it is posed as if gliding silently through dark water.
The aged, heat-toned metal finish keeps it visually cohesive with the rest of our specimen series: Spring Mosquito, Filter Mantis and Pressure Leech. Every weld and mechanical detail is handmade, one-of-a-kind, with no duplicates.
A standout collector’s artwork for lovers of steampunk, speculative marine biology, scrap-metal assemblage and industrial creature design.
