This unique art set contains two individually reworked real jewel beetle specimens, blending dazzling iridescent natural beetle shell with intricate retro‑mechanical steampunk engineering.
The upper beetle is presented with wings fully unfurled. Translucent natural membranous wings are fully expanded to showcase its flying posture. Vintage watch movements, brass gear assemblies and precision metal components are embedded onto its abdomen to build a fictional mechanical power core. Metal rivets decorate its brilliant metallic‑green elytra.
The second beetle features a compact closed‑wing form. Sophisticated mini machinery, mechanical linkages and tiny gear structures are mounted on its back, presenting a different mechanical aesthetic.
Both artworks are securely mounted inside a classic black shadow‑box frame, protecting the delicate pieces from dust. The clean white mat board highlights the vivid iridescent colour of the jewel beetles and the fine details of metal mechanics.
A wonderful collectible piece for steampunk lovers, cabinet of curiosities display, gallery wall decor or special artistic gift.
Note: Hand‑modified real insect specimen art, not a toy. Fine mechanical parts are fragile, please handle with care.
