Mechanical Piranha Sculpture
Where Nature's Fury Meets Machine Precision.
This hand-crafted mechanical piranha is a one-of-a-kind biomechanical sculpture that blurs the line between living organism and engineered machine. The body is sculpted from resin ,a deep, mottled green fading into a fiery orange belly while every joint, gill, and fin is brought to life with real metal components: precision screws, coiled springs, articulated rods, and machined gears.
Details:
- Razor-sharp resin teeth set in a spring-loaded mechanical jaw, mouth frozen in a predatory strike
- Exposed metal gill assembly — rows of steel rods and brass screws tracing the ribcage beneath the skin
- Fully articulated mechanical tail with multi-axis joints and a fan of machined metal fin rays
- Hand-painted gradient body — dark green dorsal to warm orange ventral, with textured scale detail
- Industrial display base — black riveted cube with mirrored top, suspending the piranha on slender steel rods as if mid-swim
Size: 13.8 inches (L) x 6.3 inches (D) x 8.7 inches (H)
Each piece is assembled and finished entirely by hand. No two are identical, slight variations in paint texture and component placement make every sculpture truly unique.
Materials: Hand-painted resin body, stainless steel & brass hardware, machined metal components, industrial composite base
A centerpiece for collectors of mechanical art, steampunk décor, and surreal sculpture. The predator, reborn in metal.
